ABOUT SALEMIGO

About SaleMigo

Real business use. Structured research. Clearer decisions.

SaleMigo is a practitioner-led research and comparison platform for ecommerce sellers, sourcing professionals and cross-border businesses. We research many of the tools we cover because we face the same decisions in our own business activities.

Why SaleMigo Exists

Choosing business software is harder than it looks. Product pages can explain features, but they do not always show how those features perform in a real workflow, which limitations actually matter, or whether a subscription is worth paying for in a particular business situation.

Practitioners First, Reviewers Second

Many of our research topics begin with a real business problem we are trying to solve ourselves. We may need to evaluate a product opportunity, compare keyword data, identify suppliers, research competitors, investigate import-export activity or decide whether a software subscription is worth paying for.

During that process, we often collect screenshots, exports, search results, notes and practical observations. Those findings can then become part of a SaleMigo article. That practitioner perspective does not mean our experience will automatically match every reader’s situation, but it gives us a useful starting point: we are often asking the same questions because we genuinely need the answers ourselves.

Practical Notes

How We Research

Our research starts with a practical question and a clearly defined use case. We review official product information, explore relevant features and workflows, and—where access allows—test the tool directly using real searches, reports, exports or business tasks.

Not every tool receives the same depth of hands-on testing. When we have direct access, we may use live accounts, marketplace searches, reports, exports and repeated workflows. When direct testing is limited, we rely on official documentation, product information and comparative research—and we make that distinction clear in our content.

OUR RESEARCH PROCESS

Define the Use Case

Identify the business problem, decision or workflow the tool is expected to support.

Research & Verify

Review official information, documentation and relevant data to understand features, limitations and claims.

Test Where Possible

Use live accounts, searches, reports, exports or repeated workflows when direct access is available.

Compare & Explain

Evaluate meaningful differences, limitations and practical implications, then explain the findings clearly for the relevant user or decision.

Editorial Independence & Affiliate Relationships

SaleMigo may earn a commission when readers use certain affiliate links, at no extra cost to the reader. These commercial relationships do not determine which tools we cover, how we structure our comparisons or which limitations we choose to discuss.

Our goal is to keep editorial judgment separate from affiliate arrangements. We aim to explain what we found, where evidence is limited, and who a tool may or may not suit, rather than presenting every product as the right choice for every reader.

OUR EDITORIAL PRINCIPLES

Evidence Before Claims

We aim to support important claims with direct testing, documented evidence or reliable product information rather than marketing language alone.

Affiliate Transparency

When affiliate links are used, we disclose that relationship clearly and aim to keep it separate from our editorial conclusions.

Limitations Matter

We discuss relevant drawbacks, access limitations and uncertainties instead of presenting tools as universally suitable.

Reader Relevance

We focus on who a tool may suit, where it may fall short, and which type of decision or workflow it is most relevant to.
